December: Lots of new toys!

Grant got tons of new toys for Christmas. I think we went a little overboard, I guess I forgot that he would be getting stuff from the rest of the family too! The good news is, I got two storage cubes that I'm using as end tables and toy boxes. No matter how much of it I hide though, our house is still overtaken by toys.

Visiting Santa

We took Grant to see Santa a couple of weeks ago. He was so funny, he just stared at him with his mouth open the whole time. I wish I could have gotten the look on his face when Santa first walked up to him, he had his mouth open and his eyebrows up, he looked amazed.

Christmas Baby

These are some of the cute pictures I took for our Christmas cards. He really loved his stocking, I can't wait to get his reaction when he realizes there is something in it!

Learning So Much

Grant has learned so much this month, it's been so fun to watch him learning something new almost every day. He now says "dada" all the time, he can push himself up to sit up, and he is almost crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and moves his knees forward and then lunges, he hasn't figured out how to move his hands and knees at the same time yet, but that is not far away!

6 months!

Grant is six months old now, how time flies! We went to the doctor on Monday and he is 27 1/2 inches long and 16 lbs. 10 oz. He got three more shots and he did really good, he is a tough little guy! He was his smiley little self and all of the nurses and staff just loved him, they couldn't get over how happy he was, even after the shots! He is a happy little boy, he smiles all the time. He is now at that age where he is starting to recognize faces and study people too. If someone takes him from mommy he just stares at them for a while before he decides if he likes them or not. He pretty much always decides he likes them! He is sitting by himself very well and enjoying tummy time much more now that he can lift himself up better and for longer periods of time. He'll be crawling in no time! Time to make sure the house is really baby proofed!
