Bun's of Steel

My family came to visit this weekend. We had so much fun just hanging around the house. It's so great to actually have a house to hang out in! Plus, I thought it was very cool that Ethan's first big trip was to see Aunt Rachel and Uncle Drew! I didn't get a lot of pictures, but I did snap the one below which we thought was totally cute. My brother thought my double spoon rest looked like, well you can see from the picture. And it was the perfect size for Ethan. We decided it looked like buns of steel! Actually, now that I'm looking at the picture I realize it was much funnier if you were there! Oh well, use your imagination!

Our new boy

Drew and I adopted a dog last weekend! He's a yellow lab mix and he's huge (95 lbs.). He's a real sweetheart and he just wants to be wherever Drew is, or me if Drew is not home. And he's very smart and handsome too! We are going to the vet tonight, so hopefully we'll find out a little more about him (ie. age, size...). We think he's around 2 and we're not sure what he's mixed with. Something large we're sure, he's so heavy but doesn't look to be overweight. We are having a lot of fun trying to get to know him and to teach him some new stuff. He's great, you will all love him. Oh yeah, his name is Fletch.

Housewarming

A couple of weeks ago our awesome caregroup threw us a housewarming party. We had so much fun hanging out eating the yummy food and even getting to know some new people. And we thouroughly enjoyed George's songs and all of the encouragement from everyone! Thanks to all of the girls for putting this together, and to all of you who helped me get the house ready. We are so blessed to have such great friends! I was able to get a few pictures before my camera died. Jess did such a great job with the table!

Drew's Birthday

We celebrated Drew's 26th birthday with Erin and Clint at Pappasito's. I made sure to emphasize to the waitress that it was his birthday so that they'd sing. I didn't know about the great hat though!

I'm back and I have a new name!!!

So, as most of you know, I just got married!!! And yes, we actually have been back for a few weeks now. We've just been very busy. Well, I finally remembered to bring my camera to work (we don't have our computer at home yet), so now I can share all of my great pics! Our wedding was AWESOME!!! We had so much fun, it was everything we wanted it to be. Also, any of my Gainesville friends that may be getting married, I have lots of recommendations for you because we LOVED all our vendors. We went to St. John, USVI on our honeymoon and stayed at the Westin (the place with the Heavenly bed). We loved it! It was so relaxing, the whole island is very laid back, we totally recommend it! It is nice to be back home though, our new home! We don't have wedding pics yet, but I will attach some honeymoon pics. Thanks to all of our friends and family who helped make our wedding so special, we love you all!

These guys were all over the island, but we had a bunch of them right in front of our building. They would come out every morning to sun themselves.
